In response to Governor Whitmer’s order closing Michigan schools as well as the recommendations of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, and the Michigan Library Association, I am posting the following notice.  The Eau Claire District Library will close on Monday, March 16 until further notice.

Staff will be on-site for part of each day that the library is normally open.  Patrons who have been notified that they have materials on hold to pick up, should call the library (461-6241) to arrange to pick up the items.

In the event that any member of the staff becomes sick, the library will be closed and no staff will be present.  Notices will be posted on Facebook, the library’s webpage [http://www.eauclaire.michlibrary.org] as well as WNDU and WSBT.

Items may be reserved via our website link to the online catalog.  E-books and audio books are available for download from the Southwest Michigan Digital Library [https://smdl.overdrive.com].  Our Wi-Fi is available 24/7.  At this time, we do not know if Interlibrary loan services will be available.  No fines will be assessed while we are closed.

We realize that this may present a hardship to some of our patrons and regret that we must close.  The health and safety of our patrons are of great importance to us.  Thank you for your understanding and support.
